Welcome to the ABA Commission on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity, established by the ABA Board of Governors to secure for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons full and equal access to and participation in the ABA, the legal profession and the justice system. Through education efforts, policy development, building relationships with leaders in the profession, and other activities, the Commission works to remove barriers to professional advancement, and to promote diversity and to enhance the ABA’s diversity efforts. We look forward to becoming your ABA resource on issues affecting the LGBT legal community and on LGBT legal topics.
