TECHSHOW 2009 offered a wide array of legal technology learning opportunities from vendors, presenters, and peers alike.  One of the clearest lessons wasn't about legal technology, however, but about the tremendous value of Twitter to the live convention format.

Throughout TECHSHOW, attendees and non-attendees alike used Twitter to expand the experience in ways that were impossible in years past. 

Vendors used Twitter to announce giveaways, prize winners, and demos as they happened.  Some vendors used it to directly invite attendees to their booths if they expressed a particular interest or need.  The attendees themselves used Twitter to share helpful lessons from their CLE sessions and to supplement the session information with links and resources. Many used Twitter to coordinate social activities before, during, and after each day's events, or just to ask basic questions like how to get from the airport to the convention hotel.
