October 16 – 17, 2009 • Los Angeles, CA
The National Solo & Small Firm Conference Committee wants you to be involved in planning this year’s Conference in LA. This year the committee is sending out a Program Proposal Form to receive ideas on sessions and speakers for the 2009 National Solo & Small Firm Conference.
The conference will have three Tracks: Track One will base upon the theme of “Service To Others”. In the current economic setting, there are many who may need help outside our usual areas of focus. Thus, Track One might include: Running a Pro Bono Practice, Providing Cost-Effective Services to Low Income Clients, Immigration Law, Family law, Assisting Military Clients, or Providing Mortgage Solutions in the Current Economy. Track Two will be a beginner to intermediate Technology Track and Track Three will have both advanced technology and continuation of substantive courses addressed in Track One, as well as topic of interest to private practitioners, such as Maintaining Positive Cash Flow in Stressed Economic Times or Representing an Unpopular Client while Maintaining Office Safety. We want for this conference to be helpful to the solo or small firm practitioner who wants to help others and at the same time ride through difficult economic times.
If you are interested in proposing a program, chairing a session and/or being a speaker please download the form below and return it to Nicole Nikodem at nikodemn@staff.abanet.org. If you have any questions please contact Nicole Nikodem or Vicki Levy Eskin at Vicki@LevyLawyers.com.
