Elderbar is a service provided as part of the Commissions work on the National Legal Resource Center. Subscribe

Collaborate is a listserve on aging, disability and dispute resolution. The listserve includes more than 185 mediators, lawyers, long-term care ombudsmen, aging and disability advocates, service providers and academics. The objective is to promote the use of creative dispute resolution mechanisms in the aging and disability communities. Protecting Against Power of Attorney Abuse

This report seeks to encourage states to adopt provisions of the new Uniform Power of Attorney Act. It features background on why the uniform law was developed and highlights key provisions, includes information about each state’s power of attorney laws, and provides a detailed chart comparing each state’s law with relevant provisions of the new model act.
